Congrats. I am toying with the idea of graduate school for econ. Are you applying to masters or doctorate programs?
Sweet. Study hard and hurry through the program. We need someone who knows what they are doing in Washington.![]()

WSUI think I could've aimed higher or even shown more interest and obtained $ from kentucky, but I'm happy with teh results.
To people wanting to apply to econ phds:
Max out the GRE quant part (over 700 for sure)
take Calculus 1-3 (4 some places), Linear Algebra, and Stat courses and maybe Diff Eq, take Real Analysis if you want to go to a top 50
Have you decided where you'll be going yet?I applied to Utah as well.

18 applications sounds like hell in terms of time and fees. I only applied to 3 schools.

Any advice in advance? I will probably begin applying in the next couple of years.
Currently:
3.82GPA, BSBA in Finance
2 Years of work experience at a large investment firm
Taking CFA Level II in JuneWhat should I do? Should I focus on my GRE scores? I know that one of my weaknesses is definitely math. For my undergrad I never had to take calc, just stats. Would it be a wise idea to see if I could pick up evening courses for calc 1-3 at a university before I apply to PHd programs?
